Music Theory Programs

Course Description

Music Theory Program - Tauber Music School - Winnipeg Manitoba

For intermediate and advanced level students, the study of Music Theory is designed to compliment the practical study of your instrument and increase your knowledge and understanding of important elements of music.

The Royal Conservatory Music Theory program is taught in a class setting once per year for students requiring Basic Rudiments, Intermediate Rudiments and Advanced Rudiments. Classes for more advanced theory levels are scheduled when there is sufficient demand. Students may also register for a private theory lesson if preferred or when no class is available.

Each course consists of twenty-four, one-hour classes, held weekly beginning mid-November and concludes with the writing of the Royal Conservatory exam in May. All students will be thoroughly prepared by our accredited instructors to successfully pass the RCM exam.

Ultimate Music Theory® Series

Theory students will follow the Ultimate Music Theory® Series as their course of study. This new program is the first and only theory workbook program specifically designed to match the theory syllabus and final examinations offered by the Royal Conservatory of Music. Each Ultimate Music Theory lesson is followed by a comprehensive Review Test. Workbooks include the Ultimate Music Theory Guide, Chart and Ultimate Music Theory Flash Cards.
